Hornwort aquatic live plant is also known as a
Rangoon’s tail. It is a easy and fast growing plant which
is the best choice for the beginners. It doesn’t need any
care and co2. Since it’s a floating plant it do not need
even soil to grow. The origin of the plant is Europe,
north Asian countries on the lakes and ponds. It can
grow up to 3feet height with the required temperature
of 15 -30 degree Celsius a great temperature balanced
plant even in a heavy hot temperature which will
maintain their ph level from 6 to 7.5 in a moderate
condition give a heavy growth.
The plant will turn
yellow leafs because due to the low lighting and low
iron. Trim the plant for getting light to the bottom
plants and to high lighting cause a burnt plants which
look brown in color. While trimming the plant place the
cut part on the soil and Rangoon tail leaf on the top if
the water flow is insufficient between the plants it
cause a melt of leafs with bad smell. This Rangoon leaf
is also called as oxygenating plant or nitrate buster
because it observe the nitrate from the plants and
keep the aquarium fresh and clean.
